Posted October 30, 2005, 4:01 PM.At the end of the recent October storm, one or more rainbows were visible in the Temecula Valley. The ingredients of a successful rainbow are raindrops and sun. The sun is always oriented to the back of a rainbow, behind the observer. Because sun is required, rainbows most often occur when a storm is breaking. The following photos were taken from Murrieta, and present different perspectives on the most recent rainbow day: Photos are courtesy of Gary P. Mineo, Markus Nixon, Kristen Daniels and Stephanie Holloway. |
